Crossing the border from canada to the u.s.?

me and a friend are going down to the staes, both of us are 15 and 16,

do we need any special permissions?

what kind of id do we need as well?

The USA willl NOT admit persons that young, who are on their own.  You are not old enough to enter the USA, on your own.

U would have to go with an adult with passports and writen consent from both your parents! Bring 3 Pieces of identy to be safe!
