Kso,

Tomorrow I am going to Niagara falls with my best friend and her parents. We will be crossing the border to go shopping in buffalo for the day.

But I don't have photo ID and i don't think I need it. I do have a birth certificate though.

I am also under 18.

I went to this site:

http://www.hojobythefalls.com/index.php/screen/tips

and it said thats all I need to get across and a consent letter from my parents.

Is this accurate and true ?

Anything with be greatly appreciated ! ♥

Shawna ! ♥

  1. At the present time all you need is a consent letter and your birth certificate. But soon you will need a passport. Your government is making it harder for legals to move around while leaving the borders wide open to illegals.

  2. Take your school id card if you have it.

  3. Birth certificate and consent letter - yup, that accurate and all you need for under 18, crossing by land this year.

  4. Your passport and the letter will take care of it.  Note that the letter should be signed by both your parents, and should contain their contact information - phone number - in case the border officials want to contact them.  It would be a good idea if they are available by phone when you are crossing the border in case the officials do decide to call them.  It would not hurt if the letter was notarized but it is probably too late for  you to do that.  Have fun.
