Crossing the border with a rental car?

has anybody had any problems with agents crossing the border to the u.s.a throu tijuana with a rental car?

As long as you have all appropriate documents handy to prove your identity and residency.  Have your rental agreement with you as well, to prove you didn't steal the car.

Make sure that your rental car is allowed in Mexico.  Most companies do not allow thier cars to cross the border.  If they do allow it, make sure the insurance will transfer to that country as well, if you get into an accident, you don't want to be SOL.
