California Drivers Handbook says"Two sets of solid double yellow

lines spaced two or more feet

apart are considered a barrier. Do

not drive on or over this barrier or

make a left turn or a U-turn across

it except at designated openings."

I got a ticket for crossing a two double yellow lines and I manually measured the distance between the lines, it is less than 2 feet apart. I donot find any rule for this. Does this mean I am not guilty?

  1. if it is a double yellow line you cannot cross it.

just pay the ticket and move on

  2. The only rule is " Not to get caught "! Cause in all if its your word verses theirs, 10 times outta 10 yours isn't good enough!  If that's the only ticket you received then  just  be thankful!!  Its probably easiest just to pay the ticket!

  3. Sorry to say it but yes you are at fault, try asking the judge if you can take a defensive driving course.........
