Crowd at the All England Club Favours Andy Murray
Sam Querrey, the American tennis ace will personally not put an effort to grab his Wimbledon encounter with Andy Murray.
Querrey will meet Murray in his today’s match of the fourth round at the All England Club. However, the American tennis sensation has sensed that the centre court crowds at the All England Club will be steadily on the Scotsman's side.
“You listen them praising for Murray and you perceive that they are fond of him”, however the truth of the matter is that they do not detest me, it’s just that their level of likeness is more inclined towards Murray’s side although they appreciate both the players contesting on the grass court, Querrey said.
Murray on his part is putting all his energies to grab this season’s title. In that case, he would be the first English man to do so after a period of seventy four years. On the other hand, Querrey is trying his level best to make his way into the quarterfinal match for the first time ever since the Grand Slam tournament, but he does not anticipate much praise from the spectators sitting at the All England Club.
“I believe it will be like 98 percent for the Scottish player and only my family, including my sister would be backing me up”, said the American tennis star Sam Querrey.
Querrey has reached the second round of the Grand Slam Tournament for the first time in his career so far and has thus teamed up with the rest of thirty players who are scheduled to play this week at the All England Club.
According to the American player Querrey, he enjoyed the last season’s Wimbledon as well. This season, the feeling is in fact far better as compared to the previous one. Just after his first few matches, the American seemed pretty comfortable on the grass court and the comfort level has increased with every single match that he has played so far in the tournament.
During his first few days of the championship, Querrey chilled out with John Isner who is also his partner in the doubles. Isner is the name associated with a marathon match now.
Isner, exhausted after triumphing in a fifth set 70-68 in the lengthiest ever match in the history of international tennis, was stubbed out in the round number two at the All England Club. Hence, Querrey along with his compatriot Andy Roddick who is also a runner up at Wimbledon for a total of three times in his career are the only American players who week number two at Wimbledon.
Murray, the only tennis ace from the British side to stay after round number one, has been in a decline since ending as the runner-up to tennis master; Roger Federer at the last season’s Australian Open championship in the month of January. However, Murray in spite of holding the burden of countries hopes is 12-2 at the grass court grand slam event over the last three seasons.
He succeeded in each of the sets during the first week all through this season’s championships and thus defeated Gilles Simon another fine player in a 6-1, 6-4, 6-4 match set.
In an interview, the Brit player said that he really wants to perform well at Wimbledon and admitted that he will have to put a lot of extra effort in order to pass through the second week successfully.
As far as his record over the American tennis player Querrey, is concerned, Murray enjoys a 3-0 leads against him with their last encounter back in 2008.
Querrey on the other hand said that he has the talent to give a tough time to the Brit player on court at the All England Club and is really hopeful for a tight match up beyond any doubt.
However, Murray’s performances since the start of this year must have given him a lot of confidence to go a long way in this year’s Wimbledon so the analysts definitely votes for the Brit player, Andy Murray.
