Crowhurst Park to make Sussex League debut tomorrow
Crowhurst Park Cricket Club is going to stage its long-awaited http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sussex-c852 League debut against Uckfield Anderida at their home ground tomorrow, 30 April, 2011.
The Club has been preparing and waiting for this gala event since quite some time now. All the tickets for the match have been sold and the natives are eager to watch their home team featuring in a grand tournament at their home ground.
Talking to the media, the club captain said, “Everyone at the moment is more than looking forward to it. The guys are eager to get out and start the season off in a positive way.”
Crowhurst seems to be well-composed and well-equipped. They have practiced a lot in the nets and their team structure is nicely balanced with a blend of youth and experience. The two brilliant youngsters, Chris Philcox and Josh Willis, have also joined the
side.
Commenting on his team’s strength, the pacer, Walcott, said, “We are looking a bit stronger if everything goes according to plan.” He further elaborated, “The bowling is probably not as strong as I would like it, but we have got a really strong batting order.”
Crowhurst is looking confident and courageous for their opening game as the Uckfield side has been out of form since some time. During the last season of the tournament, they lost 11 out of their 17 games and could not do well in their preceding fixtures
either.
Walcott went on to say, “If we can start positively, it will build the youngsters’ confidence up as well as the older guys. With everybody going out there and backing each other up, I thing we can finish right up there.”
As per the pre-match analysis, it seems that the Crowhurst side has an upper hand over its rival team. It is going to be a rip-roaring competition that cricket lovers will surely enjoy.
