Crown Land in Yukon Territory and Northern BC?

Question

I am looking for Crown Land to camp on near the following areas:

1. Ft. Nelson. BC

2. Watson Lake, Yukon

3. Dawson City, Yukon

If anyone knows any good areas, and how to get to them, it would be much appreciated.

I don't remember seeing any random camping areas on Crown land when I was through those areas.  Both the BC Provincial campgrounds and the Yukon territorial campgrounds tend to be reasonably priced and rather nice.

If you decide to camp beside any navigable river in Canada, you are OK up to 10' above the high water mark.  Getting to these areas is easiest by canoe.

Check your planned route and if the highway you are taking is near a navigable river, you can camp there - free.  The Provicial and Territorial campgrounds are excellent and reasonably priced; you can find them listed in the links below.
