  1. its quite likely he will do time in young offenders institute depending upon his involvement. i'd say he could be looking at up to two years. of which he would serve one. but he could do less if he is of good character normally with no previous. its a vague but i dont know the details.

  2. God I hope so, he could have killed that person he was kicking!

Haven't you spoken to a solicitor and been appointed a barrister yet?? You must have as it should have gone to magistrates first in order to get sent to crown.

Wonder if he thinks that £40.00 was worth it now - Despicable!!

  3. He prob will get sent down especially as it was caught on CCTV and its gone to Crown court rather in a magistrates court.  Think about it, what if your son was the poor guy who got his head kicked in and burgled.  Wouldn't you want him to go down then?

  4. If it's his first offence he may get a conditional discharge, but it sounds serious so expect a custodial sentence.Pleading guilty and showing remorse could help

  5. don't you think he ought to?

If there's proof, cctv etc etc

I hope they throw the book at him.

You worry about him but will it change facts?

    your son is a thug.

perhaps you failed as a parent to discipline him when he was young........

    too late now.

nanny/police state will do it for you.

sorry but he's a reflection on you.

better have a long long chat about what's right & what's wrong with his life.

  6. If this is a first offence and he pleads guilty, the court will make a referral order in relation to him - details on this link.http://www.smartjustice.org/communitypen...

  7. Hope he gets whats coming for a cowardly act, what a S*** thing to do to someone who is decent. Anyway where do you come in? Why didn't you teach him from a baby about the ways of a civilised life? You are responsible, full stop.  Can't answer your direct question cos it makes me feel too sick.

  8. Good - hope he gets sent down for 5 years - no sympathy from people on here.

  9. I'm sorry for your troubles and I'm sure it worries you.

My son is 16 and he's never done anything bad in his life and why because i kept a good watch on him and brought him up with decency.

This is another example of how our society has gone down the tubes.

If he does get off its up to you to make sure he doesn't do it again!

  10. At 15 your son is unlikely to get sent to a young offenders' institution unless the crime was particularly vicious or he has "previous". If this is his first time in court and the assault wasn't too bad, I'd expect him to be fined and put on a supervision order. I would recommend that he pleads guilty because the punishment is usually reduced for a guilty plea.

  11. Sorry to say this but he broke the law. He sounds like he has some major anger issues. I hope that you got him a paid attorney. Cause if not he is going away for some time. I would try to parent your son and sit him down and ask him why he would do such a thing to another person. I would also ground him. Take him to a therapist. He need counseling.

If your son does go away make sure that you tell him that you love him and that these are the consequences of what he did. Also tell him that if he doesn't want this to happen again that he better think the whole time that he is away about how not to have this happen again.

YOu do know that when he does come home he will be different. Those detention centers change a person. IN not good ways. He will be around criminals all day 24/7 he will come out far worse then when he went in. This is just the beginning of your troubles withyour son
