Croydon policemens sick leave?

How long will the badly mauled policemen take off on leave after they were ferociously attacked by a 15 yr old schoolgirl and slapped on their face's yesterday?I mean, she even bit him after he put his hand over her mouth to arrest her!The dangers these policemen face daily is incredible,they will need every day of the 6 weeks sick pay and also deserve the thousands in criminal injuries compo,God bless them!!

Actually, there was a little bit more to it than that because all her friends waded in too, including a couple of blokes in their thirties who were also arrested, and about 8-10 more.  So I can understand them being a bit freaked out.  

However, 6 weeks sick leave seems a little excessive.  Given the job, you wouldn't expect them to be quite that delicate.

little s***s are growing up being born from children mothers themselve's (13, 14, 15) year olds. Im only 23 , but I can see the lack of respect in the younger generation.

If i was those coppers i would have caved their heads in with my baton, Then we would see if they get the message about RESPECT. These coppers need to get a grip. Deal with the situation with force and worry about it afterwards.Bring back the good old days when suspects were given a good old fashion kicking in the back of the waggon. There's too much emphasis on human rights. If your a bad lad expect to be dealt with harshly.

I can't believe he is going to be on the sick for 6 weeks. It has to be a joke. I have seen footage of this from a different source and the other Police who arrived on the scene seemed to be very handy with their sticks. Although I don't agree with people dropping litter surely there are more important cimes that they could be investigating.

Normal sick leave, the entitlement is six months on full pay.

Sick leave entitlement for an injury on duty is full pay for an indefinate period, and rightly so.

And human bites are more painfull than an animals, and more prone to infection.
