the gene for huntington'chorea has been located near another gene that can be used as genetic marker. the marker travels with the gene for hunington's chorea. when segments of DNA are chopped up with restrictions enzyms, scientists test for hunington;s gene. however despite the success of the test, some peple are at the risk have decided not to take the test. why would some people be reluctant to take the test.

i m having had time to understand it plz explain.

  1. This question is only asking you to explain why some people might not want to be tested for Huntington's disease even if the test can successfully detect it.

    The answer is that Huntington's disease is fatal.  We have no ability to cure it.  And, it's fatal at a pretty early age, sometimes in your 30's or 40's.  So, some people don't want to know if they have this disease because they will always be dreading their fate.
