Crtics please! What do you think of this poem for my prom?

Question

I wrote this for my graduation....I think I'll read it...What are your opinions?

"No Ordinary Day"

Today

The kids we were

the people we are

and everyone that we will be

we are all here

before our past

behind our future

under the brightest blue sky.

We'll laugh, we'll cry

and we'll dream together

today, tonight, perhaps forever.

Today

We have tomorrow on our hands

and the future's

at our feet,

And it's no ordinary day

just you and me

and October sunshine

Tonight every star will glow

with memories bitter and sweet.

Tonight even the moonlight's brighter

We're leaving and becoming.

We live and we imagine.

We love; we scream.

We run; we fly.

We're young and free;

We take our way...

It's just no ordinary day,

It's our today.

highly simplistic poetry is about more than rhyming words ive been writing dem since age 8  but if you were to read it you would proably get an applause

I like it if i were to change something though I would either make it all rhyme or make none of it rhyme because once you have it rhyme once the audience expects the rest of it to rhyme.  But other than that I love it.
