Cruel Person?

Whoever it was that answered my question so rudely. I am a 26 yrl old mother who d**n well knows a hard days work from the time I was sixteen I was working my *** off for my kids but if you have never been or have not been to pine ridge sd then you should keep your f*****g moth shut because you probably have had everything handed to you on a silver platter and I will rephrase my question. I meant I was wondering if anybody knew anyone that could help me with clothing used even and canned goods for donations NOT MONEY. And whoever you are that answered my question so rudely F*** OFF!!! and do not anser my ?'s

Hi Dawn,

This isn't really a question to the general community; it's a rant. I'm not entirely sure what your original question was, but it looks like an entreaty for assistance in Pine Ridge, SD.

The South Dakota Department of Social Services would be a good place to start; they will have information on local charities that provide food boxes and clothes closets. Many area churches also provide the same services, even for people who don't attend their church. I also provided the link for foodstamps.

If you are part of the Lakota tribe, then the link to Pine Ridge below will get you started on some of the services they provide.

Wow...I never read the first question or saw the answers, but sometimes people are insensitive. It is very difficult being a single mother and having to provide for your kids. I don't live in SD but in the state where I live the local Catholic charities offer a food pantry or assistance to people who need a little extra help, not a hand out. I don't think it matters what religion you are. Also try calling the local department of Welfare to see if you qualify for a discount on your utilities or WIC which can give you milk, cheese, eggs etc. There are alot of programs out there, just ask. As far as clothes go they might have donations or you can go to the Salvation army or a second hand store...sometimes if you look, you wouldn't believe what you can find for very little money. If money is tight and you want to feed your kids nutrious meals that don't cost alot go on the internet to get recipes..you can make homemade beans with rice...Soups w/ less expensive cuts of meat etc. When I was your age I was broke too. I was on such a tight budget I only had $25 to spend per week for 2 people. I learned how to do it really quick. I wasnt eating cavier, but I was eating healthy and I made it. Don't worry honey. Like you said. They have never seen their kids hungry so they don't know what they would do to feed them if they were.

I am all the way in Australia so I can't help you with anything except good wishes. I know that's not what you need so I will ask. Can someone a little closer help this girl? She would not have asked if she did not need help.
