Cruelty free eggs?

I am looking for a specific brand of eggs that is truly cruelty free. For example, is Land o' Lakes cruelty free? If you know of a specific brand that is both cruelty free and readily available (such as, at the local grocery store) please let me know...easy 10 points. I've been trying to find the answer on the web but in vain. Thank you!! =)

  1. No such thing sorry.

Just use the wide variety of alternatives if you care about animals.

  2. Lol? I hope you mean egg substitutes because any egg you crack is killing whatever is potentially inside. Besides, nothing about gathering eggs is cruel, so any egg brand will work...

I'm loving all these negative votes too. People make me laugh. People apparently don't like honesty : ).

  3. well you could try to find free-range chicken eggs. but there is no such thing as cruelty-free eggs really. the eggs they sell aren't the kind that grow and hatch. they aren't fertilized. in order for a chicken to lay an egg that can be hatched, a rooster has to "get it on" with the chicken. =)

  4. Land O' Lakes.. Hmmmm... are you from Minnesota?  If you're from Minnesota, go to various co-ops like the Wedge in Uptown Minneapolis and the Seward Market in the Seward Neighborhood in Minneapolis.  They both have cruelty free, free range eggs.  That's where I buy mine.

  5. Well, its a hard one this,i have never heard of land of cakes as I'm in u.k.

I only buy organic free range eggs, from my friend who actually burys her chickens after they pass away of old age.

I have been to many of their funerals,as im always at her home.lol

She treats them like her own babies, and they have heated hen houses with pictures on walls, and its like a palace.

    I do not eat eggs,but my hubby isn't veggie,and he has about 1 a week,if hes lucky.lol.

Its a shame you cant find someone like my friend to buy eggs from.

I certainly wouldn't buy supermarket ones though.

I think you may not find anything cruelty free, after all most chickens live in horrendous conditions.
