  1. Seabourne

  2. Alot depends on your taste. Like the old 1 person may great a great meal & tell everyone & they get not so good. All lines have speciality resturants & the food is very good. From talling to lots of people on over 20 cruises they all say Holland America has the best food. I have sailed with Holland, Princess & Norwegian and never had a bad meal. Plus, if you do not care for what is being served you are free to go to another resturant.

    Enjoy.

  3. I have recently been reading a guide to cruises and cruiselines.  It appears that Celebrity wins out for the best food in the ten biggest cruiselines.  I have never been on Celebrity, but I have been on Costa, Carnival, and Princess.  My favourite food-wise of those were:  1)  Princess  2) Costa  3) Carnival.  That being said, I thoroughly enjoyed the meals on all the ships.  The dining rooms all serve delicious meals and you have a lot of choice on the menus.  The food on the buffets tends not to be as good as that in the dining room, but I could always find things I enjoyed if a sit-down dinner in the dining room did not fit with the other things I had planned for that day.

  4. Celebrity Cruise lines have the best Dinning the food is amazing and great.

  5. The "best" dining is relative, of course, but any of the "luxury" lines would probably have outstanding food.  However, they are extremely expensive.

Not sure which of the "American" type cruise lines are in the Med this summer/fall, but Holland America and Celebrity both have very good food for a mainstream line; some people say Princess is pretty good, too.  Carnival would be a step down from those and NCL and Royal are a small step down from Carnival.

For feedback from past cruisers, you can go to CruiseCritic.com, click on "Reviews" then "Member Reviews"; you might also want to check the professional reviews, too.  You can also look at "Boards" for questions/answers about each of the lines, as well as various aspects of cruising.

  6. thumbs down on Carnival but a big thumbs up on any of the Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines.  Good luck!

  7. If what you want most is VARIETY, choose one of NCL's newer ships.  They have up to 10 restaurants aboard, ranging from sushi and Teppanyaki to French cuisine and Italian family-style.

However, NCL doesn't always have the most consistent quality.

I'd agree with the previous poster that food on cruise ships is generally pretty good and has a pretty wide range.  I think Holland America, Celebrity and (believe it or not) Carnival have particularly good food.  And they all have plenty of choices -- a Holland America Line ship, for example, will have a steakhouse, a main dining room and a casual restaurant -- but the menu in the main dining room and the casual restaurant will change each night and include lots of choices.
