Cruise Ship Job - Phone Interview?

I have a phone interview coming up with Royal Caribbean Cruises for a cruise staff employee.

What kind of questions can I expect to have asked?

It depends a lot on which job, but some you might hear are:



Do you like/get along with people?

Are you patient with others? (Cruise passengers can be VERY trying)

Can you work long hours?

Are you claustrophobic?

Can you adapt to new situations?

Do you get seasick easily?

My phone interview with Royal Caribbean went like this..

Tell me a little about your experience.

Do you enjoy working with people?

Do you have a valid passport?

For CS there might be some more questions like...

Are you okay speaking in front of a large group of people and using a microphone?

Are you okay with hosting various events during the cruise?

Do you know the finer points of BINGO?

Things like that.  The Cruise Staff position is probably one of the funnest positions onboard ship.  You get to mingle with the guests as well as participate in and lead guest activities.
