  1. Actually in some of the ports they can get off. They arent prisioners. On the private islands they always get off because that is who is serving you dinner. And they usually get one free day on a 7 day cruise.

But they dont get paid that much, if you want to travel it would be good, but I would consider being a flight attendant.

call the cruise lines or get on their website and look for employment opp. NCL hires Americans for their Hawaii iteneraries.

  2. hello,

if you want read something about cruise ships

i just come accross this blog which may help you

  3. I'm not to sure about the procedures for cruise ships, but you don't need experience to work for the airlines.  They will train you.

You might want to re-think the cruise ships though.  I watched a documentary the other night about cruise ships, and you have to d**n near live on the ship, in a small cabin with another co-worker that is the same s*x.  Romantic relationships are forbidden amongst workers on the ship.  They also don't pay alot.  They make less than minimum wage.  They depend on gratuities, just like a waitress or bartender.

They also are not able to get off the ship at ports of call.  It's not like when you arrive in the "Bahamas", you would be able to enjoy it.  There's still work to be done on the ship.

At least as a flight attendant, you can travel the world, and still come home very often to be with your family.  When the plane lands, you are free to tour the location you are in until you are scheduled to work on a returning flight.  You don't make too much money at the very beginning, but eventually you will.

  4. call carnival or royal caribbean my suggestion is to call royal caribbean directly or go on to their website, they are the best cruise ship to work for, my daughter is on one of them and loves it, the royal carribean is better than most ships. she is a cruise director she does not see mostly anything and her pay is not the greatest but she got experience though. If you think its fun and games here this is the wrong place for you. alot of bad stuff does go one, you MUST share your room with 3 or 4 people and stuff like rapes, and people sharing rooms with others and other not so nice things go on. my daughter was forturnate she was married when she went to work there, but there is alot that goes on you may not like my suggestion is ask anyone who works for them

  5. get a resume together and star sending them, you geet on them pretty easy, some require some experience (on cruise) because you sometimes have to dance while delivering hot food.
