Cruise Tothelimit expected to win the Davisbakerycaribbean.Com Apprentice Handicap
The Ian Williams trained bay gelding, Cruise Tothelimit, looks to be the strongest candidate for the Davisbakerycaribbean.Com Apprentice Handicap that is going to take place at Windsor racecourse on Monday, July 16. The Class 5 contest over 5 furlongs and 10 yards will begin at 6:10 (GMT).
The four-year-old horse’s spectacular victory in his last start boosted up his morale to a great extent, placing him well in the betting market.
On June 26 at Newbury, the young and energetic horse nicely notched up first position in the Optima Consulting Engineers Handicap over 5 furlongs. That was indeed a marvellous triumph.
Prior to this, the D. And Mrs D. Veitch-bred maverick sprinter gained a runner-up rank in the Happy Birthday Stacey Reynolds Handicap (Div 1) over 5 furlongs at Carlisle course on June 4. He was the 11-4 favourite for that race.
As a whole, the son of Le Vie Dei Colori, out of Kiva, has won 4 of his total 25 starts so far. The brilliant horse has run on soft tracks for many times in his career. Thus, he will not take much time to adjust to the running condition of Windsor. Moreover, this will be a big advantage for him.
However, the owner of the horse is going to try a new jockey, Charles Bishop, this time, but he will be able to perform well even under this rider as he is awash with winning momentum at the moment.
On his way towards the finish line, Cruise Tothelimit will have to face a lot of resistance from, Invigilator, who elegantly finished first in the Ladbrokes Handicap over 5 furlongs at Wolverhampton on April 12, 2012.
The Derek Shaw trained bay gelding stepped forward to get a third position at Nottingham during the same month. Both these races went down on soft tracks. Overall, the 14-race experienced horse has two triumphs to his name.
In today’s marathon, he is likely to show a decent performance, giving somewhat a tough time to Cruise Tothelimit. Thus, a rip-roaring clash will be witnessed at Windsor. Good luck to both the geldings.
