Cruise Tothelimit to steer his way in the Blue Prism Handicap
The line-up of the Class 4 Blue Prism Handicap has a diverse collection of those who have not won since a while, an entry who celebrated victory through the very recent outing, and then a pair of runner-ups. The five furlong race will witness the participation of eight, three-year-old and above runners on Friday, 20th July at Haydock. The prize money set for the event is £4,075.
Le Vie Dei Colori’s four-year-old bay gelding has been active five times during the season. He kick started the season with the McArthurglen East Midlands Designer Outlet Handicap (Betfair Sprint Flat Series Qualifier) on 12th May, 2012 at Nottingham over five furlongs.
The race was won by the favourite entry, Dispol Grand, while Cruise Tothelimit ended fourth in the field of ten.
The four-year-old was prominent after breaking from the seventh stall and then ran at the heels of the leaders two furlongs out. Ian Williams’ trainee did not bargain with the speed even after the decision for the first three places was declared.
The four-year-old out of mare, Kiva, scored the second position in the Happy Birthday Stacey Reynolds Handicap (Division I) on 4th June, 2012 at Carlisle over five furlongs.
Winning the race by the margin of a length was, Choc’A’Moca.
The favourite entry of the race did not let it be a piece of cake for the winner as Cruise Tothelimit did not let the winner draw clear and missed the race only by the final stride.
Coming at terms with the third position was, Ingenti.
The four-year-old Irish bay gelding finally struck success in the Optima Consulting Engineers Handicap on 26th June, 2012 at Newbury over five furlongs. The good to soft ground conditions worked out for Cruise Tothelimit as the ride of jockey, George Downing, became prominent when the last two furlongs waited. He was joined in by the reeling in rival, Rylee Mooch, who lost the chance by just ¾ of a length.
The bay gelding qualified as the runner-up in the Davisbakerycaribbean.com Apprentice Handicap on 16th July, 2012 at Windsor over five furlongs.
The race was won by, Sarangoo.
The 3 to 1 entry will get guided by jockey, Ryan Powell, today.
