My sister has friends in Florida and ST. Croix, so a cruise wedding is perfect. Can anyone share their experience, and recommend a cruise line. It is hard to choose between the many cruise lines.

  1. Just remember it is a "Captive" audience!

If ya need to bail for a few, where ya gonna go?

  2. Personally, I wouldn't do it.  If you are having alot of family and guests, then the rest of the cruise you can't have the one on one privacy of a honeymoon.  Do you want to take your parents on your honeymoon?

  3. My husband and I went on a cruise to get married. We had the ceremony on the beach when we were in port and it was beautiful. We had 30 guests travel with us and everyone had a blast. The only thing to remember is that not everyone you ask will be able to attend. His brother didn't come (but that's a whole other story) and my best friend wasn't able to come due to financial reasons. But we believed the wedding was about the two of us and that's really what mattered. So, I say a cruise wedding is a great idea. Then a reception at home when you get back.

PS. We had so much fun we all have a cruise booked for our 1 year anniversary.

  4. well a cruise wedding is prefect if all the guests she plans to invite can afford it because I'm pretty sure your sister isnt paying for everyone.  also, the problem with a cruise wedding is your with those people for the entire cruise.  no alone time after the wedding because everyone is on the ship and is going to want to spend time with you.  it will be hard to get away and enjoy honeymoon time together.  also, I'd be afraid of being sea sick the whole time.  (thats why I dont go on cruises)

  5. don't konw about a cruise wedding but i have heard of them  i know that one can be married by the captain

  6. my husband and i did a cruise wedding. we were wed in the Caribbean, and i was so awesome. we decided to go on princess, and the reason why was because they offered a "package" that included everything- and i mean everything, it included pictures, flowers, photography, place for the marriage, and they took care of all wedding license formalities,

and I'm sure it includes more then what I'm writing down, however all we had to do was just show up.. and after we went to formal dinner and dined on lobster and steak, and had a glorious wedding cake-

its costs a lot less then you would think- and you can also have your honeymoon at the same time-

my husband and i went with about 30 other family members and friends. i would defiantly suggest it- its a great opportunity that dosent break the bank-and its so much fun and worry free-

good luck, with whatever you decided
