Question:

Cruise age, confused!?

I am going on a cruise in Aug, through Royal Caribbean. I am 19 and Bf is 22. I have been hearing reading a lot of different answers. Do I have to bring something from my parents that say I am allowed to go on this cruise. Because I saw nothing on the Royal Caribbean site that mentions this. I thought as long as my bf is over 21 everything is fine, and don't need to worry about this issue?

Thanks!

  1. I thought you had an answer from Royal Caribbean and that they said you were OK, you didn't need any form of consent from your parents.

Edit:  Sorry - Obiviously a double post.

  2. No guest under the age of twenty-one (21) will be reserved in a stateroom unless accompanied by an adult twenty-one (21) years of age, or older. This age limit will be waived for minor children sailing with their parents or guardians in adjacent staterooms or under-aged married couples (proof of marriage is required).

So you are fine.  He has to book the stateroom under his name though.

    RC number: (800) 398-9819

This is not the case for Carnival however so I'd call and make sure they have not changed the requirements without updating their site.  But I know what you are talking about.  Universal and MISA Travel both said someone has to be 25

No guest under the age of twenty-one (21) will be booked in a stateroom unless accompanied by an adult twenty-five (25) years of age, or older.

Royal Caribbean International's age policy for gambling and consumption of alcoholic beverages is as follows:

        * Guests eighteen (18) years of age and older are welcome to play in our casinos (for all Alaska sailings, guests must be 21 years of age in order to play in our casinos).

        * Guests eighteen to twenty (18-20) years of age are welcome to enjoy beer and wine (for all Alaska sailings, guests must be 21 years of age in order to consume beer, wine and any other alcoholic beverages).

        * Guests twenty-one (21) years of age and older are welcome to enjoy all alcoholic beverages.

Applicable age restrictions apply while the ship is in port, in accordance with local age limitations.
