Cruise and laptop security?

I was curious my wife and I are leaving on a cruise in a little over a week and I would like to take my laptop, however, Im a little uneasy about what to do with the laptop while not in the room. We are cruising on a new ship and there are safes in the room but i dont know if it will be large enough? any Experienced Cruisers out there?

The safe won't be large enough to hold your laptop. What cruise line are you going on? Unless you are going on a very small cruise line your laptop will be fine. From my multiple experiences on larger cruise lines (Princess, Royal Caribbean, Radisson, Crystal), everyone is trustworthy and you will not have to worry about your laptop security. On a cruise you have the same person(s) cleaning your room throughout the duration of the trip. This allows for you to get to know the person in charge of cleaning your stateroom. Only the people in charge of your room have a key which can access it. While I do not think you will have any problems, if it is taken it will be easy to track who did it. I would not worry, your laptop will be fine.
