Cruise med?

we are going on a med cruise in may,it is our first cruise,we are visiting

trapani(sicily)

naples(italy)

ajaccio(corsica)

toulon(france)

barcelona(spain)

can anyone tell me which ones we can visit ourselves and which ones would be better off going on the excursions

Naples and Barcelona, you dock very close to the centre of the city.

The others I am not so sure.

Frankly, you'll spend as much or more on your own as you will on the planned excursions. Unless you have friends in those ports or know the area, stick with the excursion. Those tour guides are thoroughly schooled in the places tourists want to see, including photo ops and lunch spots that won't leave you unable to enjoy the rest of the trip.
