So for an oceanview room on the princess diamond, it says obstructed view. Does that mean there is a life boat, or deck or something in the way?

  1. Yes, and those are rooms I wouldnt recommend as they are obstructed and your not getting what you pay for but they do knock the price down a little so you technically are but I would not recommend them but I would get that kind of stateroom but on a lower or higher deck.

  2. you got it!

  3. Obstructed view means there is probably a life boat that blocks most of the view from your window.  That is no fun.  True, it costs less but the Princess Diamond is a great ship so spend a little more for a cabin with unobstructed view.  Actually, a balcony cabin is the best way to cruise.  It is great to sit on the balcony in the evening with a cocktail or to have breakfast on your balcony.  It is well worth the extra cost.

  4. Yes. Obstructed means something is blocking your view and it may be complete blockage.

  5. Pretty much--it just means you won't be able to see only the ocean.

My advice is to skimp on the room and splurge on the excursions. You won't be spending a lot of time in your room anyway.

  6. Ya theres something in the way, don't get that room. Go with a balcony room they're awsome ,sit out there ,relax, see things ,it's so relaxing. Worth every penny believe me.
