okay so I've decided that since this is my senior year, I want to set up a cruise trip with a few of my friends (maybe 10?). My question is whenever they set you off for a few days in say...Jamaica..can you come back to the ship to sleep at the end of the day or do you have to go out on your own and get a hotel/motel? Also, does anyone know some cool places to go out of the U.S. around...$500 give or take? Please don't say mexico.

  1. Yes, you stay on the ship when you are in port. SO your food and lodging is  taken care of.

Need to be 21 to book ; Unless someone in your group IS 25.  See cruise line companies for info

group tours can be arranged by the cruise line; you may get discount for having so many people.

I would think the carribbean would be in your budget.

  2. Well I dont know where you want to leave from, but if you want to fly to the port sidestep.com gives you fantastic deals...Now if you are a senior in high school you can't book a trip because you need to be 21 years of age or older...here are restrcitons for some of the most popular cruiselines:

    Royal Carribean-

    Carnival-

    Celebrity-

    Holland America-

This is how a cruise works-

You leave from a port and the ship takes you to one or several ports of call...when you go to the ports you stay and sleep on the ship...also you can eat lunch in the port of call, but i wouldn't do that because you get food on the ship that is included in your cruise fee....some cool places? well i would say anywhere in the carribean is a great place to go...anywhere there are an endless amount of things to do-

    Eastern Carribean:

    Southern Carribean:

    Western Carribean-

I also reccomend Bahamas, Bermuda, and Hawaii-

the absolute best place to book a cruise would be from vacationstogo.com and the best place to learn about anything about cruises would be cruisecritic.com

  3. Senior year?  High school?

if so you won;t be able to book,  you have to be 21

  4. Cruise ships don't usually stay overnight at any one place.  You would have to return to the ship before it sails.

Unfortunately, if your group is under 21 years of age, you will not be able to cruise.  No cruiseline will permit you to cruise alone or in a group if you are under 21.  If you are underage, you must have an adult over 25 in your cabin with you....and that person must be a parent or guardian.

  5. You come back to the ship at night.

Where you can go for that price depends on where you live.  I know you can get cruises out of Miami for that price that go to the Caribbean and Key West.

If you get a fairly large group, call the cruise line directly to book because you can probably get a group discount.

Another great site for really good cruise info is cruisecritic.com

  6. You come back to the ship at nighht to sleep and eat, and then in  the morning you can eat and go explore again or something.

  7. All the mass market cruiselines in the Caribbean only stay at each port one day. No overnights. They need to be underway before they can open the casino due to international law. Most cruiselines require at least one person in each cabin to be 21 and a few require you to be 25.

  8. have  you heard about Bermuda??  and horseshoe bay!!??  try this place satisfaction  guaranty!!
