  1. I went on a cruise 3 years ago, on the carnival victory. It's a beautiful ship! I can show you pictures if you would like.

The formal nights are usually the second day on the ship and either the last or second to last night on the ship. You do not have to attend, you can choose to eat dinner in many of the other areas on the ship if you would like.

For motion sickness.. definitely do not take the dramamine, you want to buy those patches that go behind your ear. They work wonders. They also say eating an apple helps with motion sickness.

You will have a great time!

  2. Hey there. I'm 16 and my sister is 13. I've been on this cruise twice before on this ship and once on another ship. Formal night is meet the captain night. You should wear something nice but it doesn't have to be a gown or anything. I haven't gotten sick on any cruises, but I've been cruising since I was five months old so I'm used to it. If you have a room that is no where near the anchor or engine, you should be fine. The best rooms are in the middle on a higher floor. Camp Carnival is now known as Circle C for your age group. There is plenty to do, but you should make friends so that you have fun and hang out when there are no planned activities going on. Go to the introduction meeting and meet people so that you know them throughout the cruise. As for the destinations, you can check out the shore excursions. Halifax is our favorite of the two. It's on the water, so you can take the Harbor Hopper, which is a land and water tour, or you can take Theodore the Tugboat, which is probably for younger kids, but it's probably still fun. In Saint John, we haven't done too much, but there are plenty of things to do. You can look up all the excursions on the Carnival website. Hope this helps and have fun! If you find anything fun to do in Saint John, let me know. I'll be on the cruise on the 28th.
