  1. its called Excursions...Trust me ive been on 3 cruises...when you get on the boat you might want to go to the excursion program and see what they have avaliable..to be the safest, go through the cruise line with your excursion..Which in turn you should try to contact a cruise line and ask them

  2. Each cruiseline has a tendering process to be accepted as a Shore Excursion provider in a port of call.

In some ports of call, e.g Canada, Alaska, the tendering is once a year, in regular ports, contracts are on a perpetual basis.

To be considered as an operator you need the following...

    1) at least US$10 million in 3rd party insurance liability from Lloyds of London or similar

    2) A proven track record with providing tours with a clean safety record.

    3) An acceptable price to the cruiseline.

    4) A test conducted and approved by an onboard Shore Excursion Manager.

    5) Something unique that will add value to the passengers experience that they can't do on their own.

Good luck but it is not an easy contract to get.

  3. these are called shore excursions and u can either purchse them through ur cruise line ahead of time or once u board the ship at guest services on most cruise lines...def only go through ur cruise line (no thrid party agencies)...make there reservations as soon as possible they have limited tickets for each excursion at each port of call...good luck!
