  1. I have worked for Princess and P & O cruises on and off for the last 12 years and can assure you that most contracts are a MINIMUM of 4 months often more. You can go the their websites and they will advise how to apply for jobs at sea.

Be prepared to work EVERY day and don't expect to be able to get off every port day. YOu will need to expect to share a cabin usually with bunks and  in your off duty time you will NOT be able to fraternise with passengers unless you are ashore i.e no deck priviledges.unless you have officer status or work in the enertainment dept, shops or casino If you are able to have deck priviledges you will be able to be above decks when not working howver there are VERY strict guidelines you must follow about behaviour and curfews. Dont expect a great wage but you will get to see some of the world.

Many people love life at sea BUT many people have trouble adapting, and take a while to get their sea legs,

take easy care clothes and not too many as you will spend a lot of time in your uniform.Stock up on toiletries as well as the selection in some ports is limited and expensive.
