im not sure what the teen group (12-14) room is like. what does it look like? and what are some of the rules? link anybody?

We cuised on the Monarch about 5 years ago - my daughter was 12 at the time.  

The room was clean, comfortable and colorful.  Lots of age appropriate activities.  

At the time, the room was only open for like 3 hour increments - I think we had to sign her in and out.  

She had a great time - it was a 5 night cruise and she was having so much fun she only had dinner with us 2x.

We have taken a couple of cruises on Carnival.  my daughter thought the teen room was just ok, but the thing to keep in mind is that you don't have to stay in it all day.  You can sign yourself in and out anytime you wish if over age 9 years old.  They have an arcade, pools, buffets.  There is always something to do on the ship.  If all else fails they have TV's in all rooms with lots of channels including ones that just came out on DVD.  The last thing is that you spend a large amount of time at ports,  on a 4 day cruise, the first day you board and get settled, the next morning you are at your first port, then the second day you are at a different port, the third day your are at sea, the fourth day you are back at your starting point. They are great fun for families.

Depends on the cruise line.

I went on the Carnival Elation. The teen room was small...but everyone was so drugged up and drunk that we all just got horny and freaked all night long! It was great fun.

Most rules:

No s*x. No drugs. No alcohol. No fighting.

The people on my cruise ship only obeyed one of those rules. The fighting one. So much fun...
