My Boyfriend Joe and I are both 22. We want to go on a cruise that has alot of entertainment for young adults. Every cruise ship I check out seems to be more catered towards older adults. Any suggestions on a young hip ship??

  1. Ive been on Royal and Carnival. It seemed like Royal is a better ship to go on for adults but im sure it dosnt matter to much.

  2. You can travel on Carnival despite what Tinkertoy said. The rule is if you have someone under 21 then you need someone over 25. Since you are both over 21 then there is no problem.

So either Carnival or Royal would be great for the two of you.

  3. There are really two options for young people, Carnival and Royal Caribbean.  BUT, since Carnival requires that at least one person in each cabin be 25 years of age or older that rules them out (because of your ages)  But the good news is that Royal Caribbean is the cruise line that has the most on-board activities.

In addition to multiple pools and hot tubs, you will find, depending on the ship, the rock climbing wall, a full sized basketball/tennis court, a mini-golf course, an ice skating rink, a roller blade track, a water slide, and on the new Freedom class ships (Freedom of the Seas and Adventure of the Seas) a flowrider that allows you to surf on a boogie board right on the ship. RC's ships also have great gyms and the best gym I have ever seen is on the Freedom (and Liberty). Some of RC's ships even have a billiards parlor.  The RC's ships also have great discos.

The cruise line that you do not want to go on is Holland America because it has mostly senior citizens.  Check out the featuers of the Royal Caribbean Freedom Class ships:  http://www.royalcaribbean.com/multimedia...

    Their Voyager Class ships:  http://www.royalcaribbean.com/multimedia...

These ships are among RC's newest and have the most on-board activities.  The Freedom Class ships are actually a larger version of the Voyager Class ships.  I have been on both and they are great ships.

A couple other things that you should look for is ships that are newer, those that have been launched since about 2000. Also cruises going to the Caribbean, the Bahamas and Mexico, plus those that are 7 days or less tend to have more young people.

  4. Try Royal Caribbeans voyager or freedom class ships. They have lots of stuff to do from rock climbing, boxing, salsa lessons, to ice skating, and liquor tastings. There ships are fun and have loads of stuff for all age ranges.
