  1. Caribbean Definetly Ive Been There Theres so muc to see Whole Different Culture. The Ocean Is Clear Cyrstal. Image Being In That Water With The Sandy White Beaches. It Will Be A Holiday Of A Life Time Even If It Is Far away But It Is Worth It

  2. if it's your 1st cruise i'd definately go for the med, there is so much to see and do, and unless you sail from the UK the flight is a lot shorter and you get to start your holiday quicker, who wants to be sat in an airport or on a plane when you can be sipping cocktails on deck?

  3. we've cruised the canary islands, the med last year, going round the med again this Sept, different places, and booked to go round the med again next year on the new ship ventura? not been to the Caribbean as yet,but will definitely be on our to-do list? the med by the way is lovely, some really interesting places to see, like the leaning tower of Pisa..that was spectacular, the Colosseum in Rome, and the circus maxi-mus  fantastic way to travel and see all these different country's,not to mention the food, ooooooooohhhhh i cant wait now?

  4. Always the Med, I am afraid one Carribean Island looks rather like another.

  5. have already gone 2 Caribbean and have a 3rd booked, reason we live in Florida so it is very cheap already control to all the ports, that is most of the price right there. would some day like to try the Mediterranean on but that will be after the children are out of school.

  6. I would def cruise the Med, there is so much to see and so much history. If u can get one to go to Egypt it would be fantastic. Have a great time whichever one u do!

  7. Depends on what kind of person you are. If you love beautiful beaches then go Caribbean. If you like to learn about old things, big countries, etc, go Med. Since cruising for me is just a matter of have fun and enjoy all I can, I always go Caribbean. I'm a beach lover. Last cruise I meet some girls from UK and they hated Med. since they see it all the time in UK. They enjoy Caribbean so much they were planning to go Eastern Caribbean next year again.

  8. Do the Med less of a treck too and from the ship. If you can get the Eastern Med even better.

  9. carribean. i went on a cruise and it was amazing.

  10. caribbean definately

  11. id say mediterranean because there is much more to see in greece and italy than the caribbean islands. probably cheaper as well

  12. I have been to the Caribbean many times and also to the Mediterranian on a cruise.  The Caribbean cruise is best if you want just fun and sun, like swimming, snorkeling, scuba, para-sailing, or just lounging on the beach.  On the other hand the Med cruise is best if you like historical things like visiting the Vatican  and the Collisium in Rome, the tower of Pisa in Pisa, Poimpei in Naples, the Acropolis in Athens, or Ephesus in Turkey.  That was all a part of the itinerary that we had.  We also went to Mykonos and Santorini in Greece and Nice/Villafrance.  If you do the Med cruise you will want to see all of the historic places and thus you will do tours many days.  Thus you will not have the R & R type experience that  a Caribbean cruise affords.  But you will be happy to see all of the history.

We did our Med cruise from Barcelona, Spain but we also did a Baltic cruise from Dover last year which was very nice.  It went to Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, St Petersburg Russia, Poland, and Eastonia.

If you peruse the cruise line web sites you will find some cruises to the Med and Baltic from the UK.  Occasionally cruise lines do what they call "repositioning cruises" which bring ships from Europe to the Caribbean for the cruise season after they have a finished their Europe season.  These generally happen just once a year each way.  SO you really have to keep tabs on when they are being offered.
