  1. Don't use Holland America...if they are still around.  I went on this ship when I was 15 (9 years ago), and I was the only young person on that ship!  Even my parents were considered young!  BINGO was the highlight of our evenings, ha.  But I still had an amazing time because Alaska was so beautiful and we did really fun excursions.  I am sure that any ship you choose will be lots of fun.  Especially now that the ship in itself is an excursion! ENJOY! :o)

  2. Alaska like any place else is a great place to visit depending what you consider fun. I have been there 23 times(2 more this year) and can not get enough. IT IS NOT ALL SENIORS. If you like nature both SCENERY & WILDLIFE, meeting people from all over the world, not stuck looking at nothing but water for hours and hours then Alaska may be right for you. As for excursions there is a big selection in each port as any place else you sail. A cruise depends on who else is on the ship & what you expect. Summer months means more families. I feel everyone should take this cruise or cruisetour at least once. There are many great place cruises & cruise lines. Look at some brochures and see if this will fit your needs.

    Where ever you go--ENJOY.

  3. My husband and I just came back from a Alaskan cruise aboard Carnival Spirit.  Let me tell you...it was definately different then any other cruise we've been on and this was cruise No. 10 for me, No. 9 for him.  We are both under 30, and we were probably the 5th and 6th youngest adults (not counting children under 18).  There was an abundance of senior citizens!!  The nightclubs were basically empty everynight I went inside.

Don't get me wrong, the cruise was great!  Alaska is beautiful and you can find alot of tours once you get off the ship.  The shore excursions are a bit pricey but you get a great view/idea of what Alaska has to offer.  The glaciers, waterfalls, greenry and wildlife are wonderful.

I would suggest you take a girlfriend though...this isn't the kind of cruise you would find a bunch of Girls Gone Wild!!

  4. try cruisecritic.com or ibtraveling.com

The first web site you can ask the same question and the second web site you can compare prices.  Usually going alone will cost you the same as two people because you'll be using up a whole cabin for two.  Some cruise ships have a cabin for one person, but I forget which ships.

If you're looking for partying...try a Caribbean cruise with Carnival, and you won't go wrong with the age differences even though you'll find every age on board, but there will be more people your age.

  5. I went to Alaska with Princess cruises. We went on a cruise.tour which includes going to Denali and such for 4 days before your cruise. You can go after your cruise too with many options. Princess cruises have a wide variety of ages on there ships including to Alaska, especially since they are done in the summertime only. I have been on 8 cruises and number 9 is coming up this fall. I almost booked a trip back to Alaska as I loved it so much.
