Cruise to bahamas?

Do you need to have a passport to go on a cruise to nasau.

We did only because you never know when they may change laws..If you go by cruise they didn't as of this past summer, but it is a good idea. It is a lot easier and it will put your mind at ease.. if a sickness were to occur or a family emergency in the middle of your cruise.. you aren't coming back without a passport.. you'll just have to wait it out.  Good luck!  Have fun!

yea u need a passport. But be careful because if anything happens to you on a cruise you cant sue because your not on American territories.

As of right now you DO NOT need a passport to CRUISE to the Bahamas, although it is highly recommended. W/ no passport you must have original/certified copy of your birth certificate, and I.D. card.  The law will change as early as June of 2009, but if you're trip is within the next few months you'll be straight......they would've announced the set date for the new law by now to give people time to get one, just like they did when the new passport law for flying went into effect.
