Cruiser Motorcycle which is the Best?

I am looking at buying a new cruiser motorcycle. I really like the Honda VTX 1300r. I want a bike with at least 1100cc. Which bike's are the best cruisers, Should I stick with the VTX 1300? I'm not looking to buy a harley so dont go there.

The most cruiser bike for the money is the Yamaha V Star 1300

The Honda VTX 1300 is a great bike but its slower, heavier and uses carbs instead of FI and has horrible fuel mileage.

I have seen the 08 Yamaha V Star 1300 for $7499 where the Honda VTX1300 is $7999.

for $6799 you can go with the Yamaha 1100 V Star Silverado and for $5999 the 1100 V Star Custom (same engine)

note: the Yamaha 1100 V Star has the same power as the Honda VTX1300, and the Yamaha 1300 V Star has the same power as the Honda VTX1800

THe V-Star seems to get better reviews, but I like the look of the VTX better. To me the VTX 1300 is the best looking Japanese cruiser.

VTX is a great bike, and you sound like you already know what you want. I have heard nothing but good things from VTX owners.

best is subjective. i love my new triumph rocket III, but not everybody can handle the power of it's 2400 cc engine. it's also not as fuel efficient as my other bikes. and it weighs a bloody ton. you may want something lighter and more fuel efficient. i wanted the power

ride a few different ones, see what you like, then get it

A VTX is a great machine, but if it's your first, the 1300cc will be a little big for you. I'd start on something smaller. However, if you have experience, the VTX1300 is a great, balanced, customizable bike.

The VTX  1300 is a great bike. One of the advantages is liquid cooling, which makes is quieter, more reliable and longer lasting than air-cooled Harley clones.

In your shoes, the only option I would consider would be one of  the Honda VT 1100 bikes.
