Cruisers, would you like a lounge that is below the waterline with a sub-ocean view?

I would love it if one of the cruise lines would build a ship that has a lounge or bar that is actually below the waterline, with huge, indestructible plexi-glass windows that show sub-ocean views. Why haven't they done this yet? Would this be a feature you'd want on a cruise ship?

  1. I think it would be neat! Kinda like a submarine. Maybe it's not been done beacuse of the water pressure and glass. Youfigure this would not be coming above the water but remaining under. I wonder what effects it would have on the glass/plexi and who wounld keep the sea weed, debri off the outside. maye they can have an under water windshield wiper?

  2. That would be pretty cool...but most of the time people are in the lounges at night and you wouldn't be able to see out into the water anyways!

*On Carnival, you can see up through their disco floor from below...a little secret!

  3. This seems like an awesome idea.  I sailed out of New Orleans on my last cruise.  This idea wouldn't be too good there.  The Mississippi River is nasty, murky water.  However, the waters in Costa Maya and Belize would be beautiful.  I'm not sure how much you could see, but there's only one way to find out...do it!  I'd love to see what it would be like.

  4. That's an awesome idea.

I think that cruise liners should have a docking port for jet ski's and smaller boats so that the passangers could rent a jet ski for a day and just ride in the water around the cruise ship.

  5. Nice idea, just you wouldn't see much in the open water.  Close to costal areas there would be alot to see

  6. I would totally love that.

I heard there is a bar in one of the Vegas casinos that has a window to the pool.  Anybody know which one?
