I am looking at going on a cruise in March 2008. I have never been on one before and neither has my friend who is going with me. I am looking for some discount sites or whatnot so I can find the best deal possible. Anyone know of any good websites?

Also, any one able to recommend a good cruise line, etc... I am looking to get the best deal possible for the best price!

  1. I have always found www.vacationstogo.com to list the best deals.

However, you may not find a great price for March departures since this is Spring Break for many areas.

If you don't want a cruise filled with a ton of families with all ages of kids, definately avoid the March departures for Galveston.  March is Spring Break for Texas Schools.

If you can be flexible in your departure date, February is showing some great deals right now.

  2. www.cruise.com

    They discount quite a bit.

But honestly stay away from mid march- it is Spring Break and the rates jump-- you maybe able to do a 5 day for a reasonable cost. just do some research and go from there.

  3. If you've never cruised before, I'd suggest doing a bit of research first.  There are book on cruising at your library.  You can also go to CruiseCritic.com, "Boards" and "Reviews" to get lots of info.

March isn't a good time for finding cruise bargains, since it's spring break time and lots of families want to go.  "A good cruise line" is a very subjective thing - depends on what you're looking for [that's why I suggest the research].

Kayak.com has comparisons for cruise prices; vacationstogo.com also seems to have good cruise prices.  The prices don't vary much from one vendor to another, as the cruise companies don't allow much discounting anymore, except within certain limits.  CruiseCritic has links to vendors they support.

  4. Try http://www.thingbot.com/ do a search cruises. It will search most of the deals and discount sites and show the best deals.

    Hope this helps!

  5. http://www.vacationstogo.com/?source=yah...

    http://www.cruise-connections.com/defaul...

  6. Here's one from Cruise.co.uk with Costa Cruises, from £399 per person.

    http://www.cruise.co.uk/cruise/Costa-Cru...

There were cheaper ones, than this too, I chose this one quite randomly, as you haven't specified where you'd like to cruise to

    :)

This one leaves from Savona, Malaga, Cadiz, Lisbon, Gibraltar, Alicante, Barcelona and back to Savona again, so you'll need to fly out to Savona for this one. The flights can also be booked together with the cruise in one go.

Let me know if you have any more specific requirements!
