Cruises out of Bayonne, nj/Brooklynn, NY?

looking for a recommendation for a cruise out of NJ or possibly Red Hook, Brooklynn, NY in the beginning of August, 2008

Queen Mary does her transatlantic from the Brooklyn Pier on August 7th (6 night). Explorer of the Seas goes to Bermuda from Cape Liberty on August 9th (5 nights). Caribbean Princess does a 9 night Eastern Caribbean itinerary on August 6th. Carnival Victory does a 5 night on August 4th to Canada. and the Norwegian Dawn sails to Bermuda from New York on August 3rd (7 nights). I would imagine the itineraries would help you decide what ship to take. They all offer good options, depending on what your personal preferences are... and you haven't mentioned a budget, travel constraints or whether you've cruised before. Who would be going with you and any kids?

Cunard and some Princess cruises leave out of the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal.  Need more information to make good recommendation.  How Long, What direction do you want to go, What do you like to do on a vacation, How formal are you willing to go, etc., etc., etc.,
