I just wanted to share that I am leaving April 13th to go on my first cruise!! My best guy friend has paid for 4 of use to go!! We are going to the Bahamas: Freeport, and Nassau. The sweet thing is we stay an entire night over in Nassau!! This is the first cruise for my man and I, and we are so excited. I love in Florida, and I live for the water. So heading to the Bahamas is like ecstacy for me. I just may not come home!! I am so excited to see the beautiful water, marine life, and truly feel at home. The only 2 places I would live on earth is Florida, or the Caribbean. We're cruising the Carnival Sensation for 4 nights, 5 days!! AHH!! I'm so friggin excited I'm all over the place. Share with me some of your experiences with This ship, and the Bahamas. I'm 21, so give me so fun ideas on what we should do!! Thnxxx!!

  1. Check out the shore excursions that Carinval offers, only book though your cruise company, never on shore. Naussa has an island called Black Beards Cay. You can snorkle with manaray, drink, relax, swim, ect. Theres also the straw market and loooooads of shopping. Besure to shop and eat at the places your ship reccomends for they are guarenteed. Pardise island where the Atlantis is also neat. You can get a room there or next door and get access to the amazing water park. However you can go just to look around. They have some neat stuff there.

Check out this link below. Its a huge website for all things crusing. Find your company and ship. You'll find out info from how the dinner is to what the best shore excursions are and everything in bewtween. you'll even find people on that same sailing as you that you can met up with.

I love the Bahamas. I've been to Naussa twice. Dont forget to go to the Tourtuga Rum Cake Shop! Its easy to find and close to the pier.

    Have a great time!

  2. I almost booked that same exact cruise.  Except that it would have left too little time to visit my mother.  I am doing the Sensation April 17, right after you!

I am a cruise-a-holic.  The ship will have lots of activities for you to choose from.  You get a daily newsletter delivered to your room every morning so that you can decide what you want to do.  Nassau was fun, I went last year.  You MUST go to Senor Frogs!  It's an excellent and fun bar. (or was that San Juan?)

If you are interested, you can take a tour ($25, tour guide will approach you before you leave the port) of Anna Nicole's cemetary.  I had to request my driver to go, and he willingly obliged.  For security purposes, only accept tour offers from people with ID Badges, they are the legite ones.  Atlantis is awesome.  There, you can sit in the million dollar chair and get your picture taken.  Lots to do, lots to do!!!

Make sure you go on the waterslide and play mini golf on the ship!

  3. I just got back from a 2 week cruise and although I dont have any fun advise I will tell you this.  Make sure you have your passport.  All cruise lines now REQUIRE you to have a passport.

  4. Most definately go to Senor Frogs...........very fun club....the straw market is fun, just be firm about what you want to pay, they will drive you insane (lol).....Go see the Atlantis resort, its like no other....Be very cautious about the taxi tours...We paid our taxi driver $25 per person to take us around and give us a tour, which, ok, he did some, BUT it was not anything we could not have done on our own.  There is a ferry that will take to you Paradise Island (Atlantis) and for $3 per person each way, you can do it yourself.. Lesson learned, but hey its vacation, so no harm done, but will do it myself next time.  Just stay in the main section of Nassau with all the people.. You will be fine and have fun!

  5. You must not miss visiting Atlantis complex in Nassau.

The city itself is a good buy for diamonds, but very dirty. I've seen rats in downtown few years ago.

  6. may I suggest swimming with stingrays if you get the opportunity. My wife and I went for our honeymoon last year and it was the coolest thing we did the whole cruise! It sounds a little scary but it is soooooo much fun, I am leaving next week a cruise in the mexican riviera and was totally upset that they didn't have it!
