I just blew my Kenwood KAC-9104D amplifier on two MTX thunder 7500's. The amp sucked don't get a kenwood they can't handle a sub running at true wattage. I'm looking at a Crunch GP2500D amplifier and am wondering if it's good. I only work with MTX, JL, and Lanzar audio along with smaller brand names and haven't used a crunch yet. Reviews are good, and it can pump at 2 ohms 1250w RMS or so it says. The MTX thunders are 400w RMS each and can handle up to 750w RMS each so that is no problem, but I'm wondering if the Crunch amplifier can handle the subs? Let me know!

  1. crunch makes pretty good budget amps. they are made by the maxxsonics which does crunch, hifonics, autotek, and MB quart. you should be getting a decent quality amp. Ive been using hifonics for a little over a year now to power my memphis mojo 15 with 2000 watts (or very close) and I havent had any problems yet, other than not having a high output alternator.
