Crunch Powerzone P1500.1 only works when warm?

Hello, I just bought this amp and the first day i installed it, it worked fine. then the next morning it decided not to. i felt to amp and it was about room temperature. throughout the day it warmed up and so did the amp. i tried it again and it worked. some people say it may be my ground but im not sure. i drilled a hole on the top of the inside of my trunk and attached it through a nail. is that bad? lol thanks guys

yes, its your ground

and that it the worse grounding setup i have ever heard of (yet very creative), look for a bolt or nut in the trunk that goes into metal, you will need to scrape off some of the paint for a good connection- or you can use the trunk lid mounting bolts, remember to scrape off some of the paint
