Why do we do crunches or sit-ups?

  1. sit-ups and crunches are a huge part for working on your abs. Manynpeople don't realize this but hitting uses your abs stronger abs means stronger hits. That's why all the pro beach volleyball players have like 6 pack abs

For volleyball it helps to improve your core strength which is crucial in volleyball.  Core strength helps to make for a more effective block and better serves and hits.  Core strength helps to prevent you from getting all of those pesty net violations.  The more core strength that you have, the more balance that your going to have and the more power that you are going to put behind the ball.

    push ups:for upper body strenghth so u can spike,hit,and serve better and harder

    sit ups:so you'll be fit, and have better core strenghth.

    plus if you do push up and crunches your whole body benefits so its a whole body work out
