Crying for no reason? ?

I was doing the dishes and then i had to go and put the washed clothes on the drying rack. Suddenly i just felt awful and i cried. I don't know why, but i got a flashback of poor people and how they must feel for having no food at all every day.

I felt so sad for them and my hunger right now is nothing compared to them. Did anyone feel this way? Have you ever cried suddenly, just thinking about something?

(:

  9. May be the PMS

  10. Allah is touching your heart, serve his people and you will find peace!

  11. same happened to me i cried suddenly

  12. The last two times I cried were for a reason (when I was leaving my uncles, aunts, cousins and nieces and nephews in India).

But the the last time before then was when I was around 7/8 and I went into the dining room some time after everyone had finished their meal so for around a couple to few hours I was sat their crouched onto a chair and cried and cried and cried until when my mother finished in the kitchen and came in for some reason and then realised I was there but I then just walked off and I can't remember after that.

What was the reason I cried for hours? I do not know. I just felt like it. for no apparent reason I felt upset and cried. And strangely enough I never cried ever since until those two events above which happened very recently. And for some reason I feel as if I left my childhood at that point and became mature and responsible from then on.

I understand it's irrelevant to your experience esp with Ramadan but I thought I would share my experience. I do get upset though. I have seen poverty and life where opportunities are scarce for people and they have no help and I get more upset to think I can give a little but its not enough.

Its good in a way that you feel like this as very few have this experience during Ramadan and its like the true experience one should have. You are very lucky. The best we can do is to include them in our prayers.

    Best wishes.

  13. Sometimes it's good to have a cry for no apparent reason, although usually there is a very good reason behind it.

    You sound very sweet indeed.

  14. Yes.. i understand how u feel..

we are fortunate to have food to eat unlike all those poor kids and folks are left with no food..

i do feel sad for them too even though watching it on tv i'll cried.

  15. No, I'm not emo.

  16. I cried this evening because I think I'm going to lose my Nan.  My Grandfather died last Septemeber (My Mother's Father) and now my Nan (My Father's Mother) isn't very well in hospital.

  17. Yeah but I don't cry for no reason, I cry when I think about child abuse and about children who are treated badly. That makes me most sad :(

  18. Actually, Sunday night, and last night. I was watching an Angelina Jolie movie, I cant remember the title of it, between borders or something like that...but anyways, its about relief work. There first location was Ethiopia, and the children there were so hungry, one tried to eat his own tongue, another was so weak and thin, a vulture was waiting for him to die so that he could be eaten. That baby's mother was already being eaten alive...the producers were relentless when filming this movie, they used actual starving people (who got treatment for participating). Yeah, that was about 20 minutes into the movie, and I was bawling and had to turn it off...then I turned it on again last night, and the second location was Cambodia...needless to say, I once again was bawling. I have yet to finish the movie. And you and I are not crying "for no reason". We are being empathetic and compassionate. The hunger we feel is nothing compared to over 15 million people of this world, or the child that dies every five seconds due to hunger, and we realize it. I have decided from now on to never waste food, and have re-adopted the "Christan" (I was raised Christan)tradition of not just pronouncing the name of God over my food, but saying an outward prayer for the hungry, as well as a thank you for what blessings we have.

Edit: s***w the people who are making fun of you for having a concience. Obviously, they have been sheltered their entire life from poverty and starvation, and are incaipable of feeling compassion. If there were more people like you in the world, there would be no war or poverty, and everybody would eat. ITs not like there isn't enough food...just Washington state alone generates enough food to feed the entire U.S. we throw away three times the amount of food that we eat....Ignorant people irritate me so badly. Hopefully they will never know suffering like the children in Iraq, Ethiopia, Cambodia, even under their noses in whatever country they come from...I was reading an interview of a Sudanese woman who was once so dehydrated, her breast milk dried up, and her baby starved to death. Can you imagine? I guess they can't.

  20. you sound perfect

i wish i could marry you

    :D

  21. Yes, quite often in my life.

  22. I hardly ever cry, because I'm very stone-hearted. I hate it, but I don't cry. Not a lot at least.

But it's weird. There are these moments when I'm just sitting and thinking and then I'll start crying. Or like something someone does reminds me of something sad that's happened to my family and I'll start crying.

But I don't cry when I watch movies..maybe it's because all of the deaths you see everyday on the news, it makes you feel like a stone.

Man, I hate it, but well...

  23. another do gooder can't believe it >>> the world is such a peaceful place on Yahoo answers .

this stuff is making me sick

show me some thumbs down ppl

  24. Play cheerie music when doing chores. You can`t save the world so get on with it

  25. That's sweet. You're a thoughtful person. At least you know your reasons why you cry, there are some who just burst out crying for no apparent reason, this can mean many things. Depression, stress etc. Next time you burst out crying, perhaps you would benefit from writing down your thoughts. In addition to help identify the thoughts behind your feelings, it also helps get all of the unpleasant feelings out of your body.

    Lol Hugo. Me too. =x

  26. Your either pregnant, or having your period. That happens often in pregnant women or menstruating women !i

  27. yeh i have when i feel sad and depressed about stuff, i usually feel sad for a while but get over it quickly

  28. Lol i love othersides answer!! (its true we pregnant people are too highly emotional!)

MashaAllah its good that u feel so much empathy towards the poor people and their struggles and starvation.

This is the whole point of fasting.

    :)

  29. i do that often. sometimes im a bit embarssed.

like when you see on the news people suffereing, others sit and sip there tea and watch with no emotion. but i find it hard and im fighting back the tears... and i feel odd becuase im the only one who is expressing sadness.. i actually question wheather im too sensative??

when i go to pray i find myself making dua for them and the tears just roll down my cheeks.

    may allah help them inshallah

  30. I have definitely just started tearing up over something I saw. I don't know normally I'm sort of tough, at least that's my reputation. The starvation and suffering that plagues the world is why we have Zakat and why good deeds give more benefit than sins give deficit. When people are forced to starve for weeks at a time our fast during Ramadan seems like very little for Allah(swt) to ask of us. Allah(swt) gave us arm, legs, food, a bountiful planet, a beautiful sky, and anything and everything else you can think of and all Allah(swt) asks in return is that we believe in Allah(swt) and nothing else and that Muhammad(saws) is his messenger, that we give Zakat, that we spend a little time each day to make 5 short prayers, that we fast during Ramadan, and that we try to make Hajj if we can.

Thank Allah(swt) for your blessings and ask that Allah(swt) help those in need. This is the month that you are most listened to so take advantage of it. Allah(swt) likes when you ask of him. Allah(swt) is all powerful so granting your requests is simply a matter of you asking and the request being appropriate with Allah(swt)'s designs.
