Crying from pain please give advice !what will happen if i go to the ER for painful menstrual cramps ?

my priord was late and i have cramping no bleeding i has a pelvic ultrasound wich showed a corpus lithum cyst (normal) and negitive pregnancy test was told im getting ready to menstrate but im cramping like h**l and taken the max of ibprofen if i go to the er will they give me a strong med to get these cramps underconrtol or do nothing beceause you know many woman suffer cramping BUT this is like extreme the worst ive ever had unbearable any one ever been to the er for this before if so what happened im applying heat to my pelvic area and crying in pain !

Aleve has worked the best for me when it comes to menstral cramps. Sounds like you are already using a heating pad, which seems to help. Try to sleep if you can ... if the pain continues to be so bad, you could always go to the ER. They may give you Vicodin or event put you on Morphine if they feel it is bad enough. Or they might be able to check to see if it is something else causing the pain.

Chances are they won't do much and they'll stick you with a hefty bill.

Alternate an NSAID (ibuprofen) and acetaminophen (midol).

You can take two caplets of either every other hour. Two caplets of midol, wait an hour, two caplets of ibu, and so on and so forth.

Take a hot shower and just let it hit your belly. That always helps me. If you have any lavander, that'll help calm your mind, or have somebody rub your lower back.

They will do a pelvic exam, an ultra sound, gift you medicine to make you feel more comfortable, take urine and blood, probably start an IV...all that is pretty much a promise.  They may do other tests, but you will probably be admitted if there's much beyond that.

sounds like endometriosis or something similar (I forgot the name). You need a Gynecologist. you need a trans-vaginal UTZ. Ask for a prescripted pain med for the pain.
