Crysis 3 new game-play trailer released – Video Games Update
Crytek has released an Interactive video trailer on YouTube which lets gamers pick between a stealth approach and straight forward action.
Crysis became insanely popular on the PC because it was the best looking game when it came out and still looks much better than a lot of current generation titles. The other reason was that it offered players an open sandbox world and gamers were free to
tackle the missions in whatever way they wanted to. They could use Stealth ability and do the mission covertly or they could use the ‘Maximum Armour’ ability and go in guns blazing.
The sequel to the highly acclaimed PC exclusive shooter, Crysis 2, was released for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. The PC community felt that Crytek had betrayed them by switching over to consoles and many gamers believed that the game would end up
being ‘dumbed-down’ in order to work on consoles.
Crytek assured its fans that it would not be the case but the developer was proven wrong when the game finally came out last year. Fans were disappointed as the sequel was a corridor shooter and felt nothing like the original. The game was supposed to be
a ‘AAA’ release but did not do so well in the market despite above average reviews from critics.
When Crysis 3 was announced at this electronic entertainment expo (E3), Crytek claimed that they are taking the shooter back to its roots and promised the fans that, even though the game won’t be a sandbox like the original Crysis, there would be bigger
environments for gamers to play around in.
Well apparently Crytek wasn’t lying as the new trailer released for the upcoming game shows that there are multiple routes that a gamer can take to reach the objective. In addition to that opting for either stealth or brute force completely changes the game-play.
The trailer showcased the Xbox 360 version of the game and judging from the high definition footage, Crysis 3 just might be the best looking game on consoles. Gamers will have to wait until 2013 before they can get their hands on the game.
