Ctappers expected to enthral at Wolverhampton
Ctappers will be the horse to notch up top spot in 32redpoker.Com Handicap at Wolverhampton racecourse on Tuesday, April 24.
The Mick Channon-trained bay gelding is quite confident to break his maiden by beating 5 strong rivals including Ukrainian, Aiaam al Wafa, Altnaharra, Cool Fantasy and My New Angel.
When the Class 6 contest over a distance of 1 mile, 4 furlongs and 50 yards begins at 5:40 (GMT), the brilliant horse will break from Trap 2 to unleash a convincing run in pursuit of £1,704.
Ctappers staged his debut on September 10, 2011. The three-year-old novice runner is still winless despite having run for 8 times. However, he has registered some classic performances on various courses so far.
Following his outstanding runner-up rank on February 8, 2012, the Peter Taplin-owned bay gelding moved ahead to grab two thirds each on February 25 and March 9.
The maverick horse elegantly claimed one more runner-up position in his last outing on March 21. Now, he is looking to accomplish his maiden triumph in today’s marathon.
If Ctappers runs to his best, his chances to finish first will be as high as 85 percent.
Aiaam Al Wafa and My New Angel are also likely to perform well in the coming contest.
Aiaam Al Wafa attained the first and last triumph of her career on April 16, 2012. The Phil McEntee-trained bay filly has a dozen of starts to her name. The fantastic filly’s recently-gained momentum suggests that she will give a tough time to Ctappers.
On the other hand, My New Angel also broke her maiden in her last start on March 20, 2012. Paul Green’s grey filly looks to be strong enough to make a big impact in today’s showdown.
Though Ctappers is awash with capabilities and enthusiasm but the gelding will have to pass through a number of arduous challenges in order to make his way towards victory. Let us enjoy the heated action and see how the horse manoeuvres success to his favour.
Good luck to all the runners.
