  1. Was Cuba ever communist ?

Cuba is Communist in the way that China or Vietnam are communist.

Cuba's constitution defines is a a socialist republic, and describes the people of Cuba as "GUIDED by the ideas of José Martí and the political and social ideas of Marx, Engels and Lenin" and "with the Communist Party in the lead".

  2. Apparently, Raul is more open minded than Fidel. I would say that Cuba is still a socialist country, but things will change very soon.

  3. Do you know the true definition of communism?

  4. Yes Cuba is still communist, and in my opinion Raul will make the people segregate into classes, people who have stuff not because they earned it but because they have family's overseas and people who will continue to live in poverty. Cuba's situation is complicated and most people think it will get better with sudden democracy, I believe only a few positive changes would occur, such as better telephone communications less bureaucracy better interaction with families overseas, infrastructure, but now lets look at democratic countries in Latin America are they all paradise.Personally I don't support communism but I don't think it would be better with democracy in Cuba.

  5. It is yes but its a fantastic country, the Cubans are wonderful people who go out of their way to make your time in Cuba an amazing experience.

  6. Yes.  And Obama wants the same for us.
