The U.S government's embargo has impoverished the people of Cuba to the point of desperation... meanwhile, American jobs are moving to China which is as bad as Castro, and U.S. indebtedness to China has reached hundreds of billions of dollars. Does that make any sense to you?

Its because America is a terror-able country. Its the worst place in the world. Have you not read the Dem talking points? BLAME AMERICA FIRST!!!!  It's obvious to me that they are coming here on behalf of the Castros to put forth their help the campaign in electing UhhhBama to fix this deplorable country we live in. They want to show the McCainiacs what a sensational success Cuban Healthcare is. Undoubtedly a wonderful model system that we could surely follow!

The simple answer is, the same as the reasons why immigrants from OTHER countries come to the US, they see a better opportunity to improve their way of life. I admit, free health care is a big PLUS for staying, but that plus is outweighed by other factors prompting them to leave in the hope of a better life elsewhere. As Cuba is an island, it is by far easiest to go the 90 miles across the open ocean to the US than to any other place.

I am not a supporter of free health care myself but don't think this realtes to it. I think even if the citizens did like the health care they would still come here.

Plus, in the United States we have free health care to if you are poor. Illegals and the poor get it all the time and its better than Cuba's.

So its really a double win.
