This question is directed towards Cubans. I am puertorican. I dont know many Cubans, but I know Cuba & Puerto Rico used to be very close. The flags were created together b/c Cuba & PR were fighting side by side to win independence from Spain. PR ended up being a 'war prize' for the US & later became a commonwealth, while Cuba gained independence but it turned bad after Fidel came into power. The US cut all ties with Cuba & because PR is a territory of the US, our ties have been cut too.
My Question Is: Do Cubans Dislike Puertoricans B/c of Our Relationship w/ the US or anything other reason??
I overheard a woman talking about this. I just want to let all cubans know that personally I feel simpathy for Cuba & wish Cuba freedom from Castro. I know it is a beautiful place. We have so many ties & similarities but yet we cant visit each other. I think this is wrong. & I am angry f PR's tie with the US. I know the US helps us, but they also dictate to us. I wish Cuba & PR freedom.
