1. If you stand a cube on one of its edges and slice it by a horizontal plane, what shape is the cross section?

2. If you stand a cube on one of its vertices and slice it by a horizontal plane, what shape is the cross section?

    2.  triangle


  2. If you put it on an edge and slice it, it'll be a rectangle.

    If you put it on one of its verticies, it'll be triangle.  (Equilateral, if you cut it properly).

    Parallelogram

  4. 2 cross-section of a cube might be anything from triangle, to quadrilateral (parallelogram in this case) to pentagon, to hexagon (including regular hexagon)
