Cubes and Chlorplast: friend or foe?

Is it a good idea? Personally, I think it's the best for guinea pigs!

What is it? Well, it's basically a cage made out of shelving cubes that you can get from Wal-Mart, Target, Costco, and other places.

Where can I get it? I mentioned that above.

About how much does it cost? Well, it varies, how much space you need, how many guinea pigs you have, etc.

You can get those from any home improvement store. Or you can even buy kits from certain places online. They are great because you can customize and give your piggy plenty of running room. It costs about the same as a decent store bought cage, around $70

Cubes = organizer cubes (for clothes and shoes and whatnot)

chloroplast = durable plastic

If you have the room you can also get a kiddy swimming pool and put chicken wire around the outside. There are many ideas out there for making your own cages, just Google it lol

I have eight C&C cages. I cannot imagine using anything else for my pigs. These cages are very easy to construct, provide the room and ventilation to keep your piggie happy & healthy. They are also extremely easy to clean. You could not ask for a better environment for a piggie.

Cubes are storage cubes made of wire grids that can be snapped together with plastic connectors. The Coroplast is the plastic corrugated material used primarily to make signs (garage sale, real estate, home builder type signs).

The costs may vary in your area. A typical 5'x2' cage costs me $40.

Tip: Also purchase some nylon zip ties used for binding electrical cords. These can be purchased at any large discount store like Wal-Mart. The zip ties make securing the grids together much easier. They are about $2 for a package of 10.
