This is my engagement ring.http://www.kay.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product1%7C10101%7C10001%7C-1%7C161238100%7C15051%7C15051.15057.15106

My fiance and I's budget for wedding bands is like slim to none. We bought his off of ebay (It is a tungston ring) for 25 dollars. I really don't want a plain band for myself but we can't afford real diamonds. What do you think about a band with cubic zirconias in it. Something like one of these.

  1. If you plan on going with CZ, I have a couple of points of advice, I truly don't think anyone will notice the difference and eventually you will get a real ring, but stay away from square or princess cut CZs because they look really fake, stick to round, it doesn't matter if your ring is square. And at least go with sterling silver for the band, because the silvertone metal will just peel and flake and probably turn your finger green. Here are a couple:

get this and have one for each side:

  2. Just go with a simple band, but in white gold, too.

He spent that much on you and you only spent 25 bucks! Wowsers!

  3. first, yuck.  second, beautiful!  i think you should go for it.  and maybe as an anniversary gift down the road he can give you the real thing.  no one needs to know its fake, as long as youre happy with it.  your engagement ring is beautiful by the way!  congrats.

  4. i would wear it. if its pretty and your finger isnt going to fall off, than it shouldnt matter what its made of. in the future, if you guys can afford it, you can buy some really nice rings. love is love and there is nothing that can beat that.

  5. well ideally you would have spent less on the engagement ring!! but since thats already been bought, i would def. not go with cubic zirconia. it will look extremly fake next to that big ol' diamond.

search on ebay for wedding bands too. thats where i got mine. i got a .50 carat band for $300!

    u just gotta look!

  6. If your engagement ring is a Diamond ,why would you want to cheapen your ring with a cubic band ?..bd

  7. Those are fine, if you want the diamond look. You might also want to check out man-made diamonds as well. Here is an article on them:

Personally, I am appalled by the entire diamond industry and would never support it. I did not want any cz or man-made diamonds because I would never want someone to mistake it for the real thing. My ring is a square-cut amethyst.

It is not about the cost; it is about the commitment.

    Congratulations!

  8. Check out this band at walmart link below 14k white and under $60.

  9. Look for something thats gold with CZ... because like the first person said, the two metals wont work well worn together. AND silver wears out really fast and tarnishes so next to that really nice engagement ring it will look really cheap. a lot of places have CZ on gold try walmart.com and sears.com

here are some from kmart at super low prices (70% off right now):

  10. Depending on how far away your wedding day is, I would keep trying ebay and why not check out your local pawn shops? They have some nice jewellery at cheap prices. I don't know that a CZ ring is going to compliment your engagement ring. You could certainly get away with a plain gold band. Your other option is to get the CZ ring and one day when you have the money you can upgrade. I don't know very much about jewellery but I would be concerned about the life of a CZ ring.

  11. That's really nice.  We bought cubic zirconia rings.  It has been my favorite set of wedding rings. People are always commenting on them - men and women.  I wouldn't trade them for anything else except another one. Check out the television shows that sell.  They have websites on line.

Some of those rings are really nice.  Congratulations!

  12. you can get cheap man made diamonds these days and they are nicer then cubics. what is your budget if you dont mind?

alsohave  a look on uk ebay, i live in aust and a kind person sold me a ring that was new i got it for 200 and then got it quoted over here at 1700.. lucky me. but ive seen heaps over there for 100 and under.. goodluck

  13. I think it would be fine, other than the fact that you shouldn't wear two different metals together. The gold will wear away the silver. Just like when women want to wear gold and platinum, it's always best to soldered them together or wear them separately. At least try to find a gold band if you're going to wear them together.

  14. The first one is ugly, but the second one is gorgeous. However, I dont think it looks like a wedding ring - like it says, it is an eternity ring. I dont understand how you have managed to get such a MASSIVELY expensive engagement ring and yet your FH gets a $25 wedding ring? Doesnt seem fair somehow.....or why didnt he buy a smaller engagement ring (which actually means nothing once you are married!!) and splash out more on the wedding/wedding rings! Crazy times!

  15. My husband and I both have cz wedding rings. I did get one from overstock, but when I got it in the mail it was very pretty. I sent it back cuz the center stone just looked to face. Make sure you know how many carts you want. Don't make it to big or it will look fack. I think we sent about 50 dollars on mine and the same on my husbands. I would do it. Just shop around and make sure you know what you like. Go to a read jewelry store and see how big carts look on your finger. Then you will know just how big you want to go. Good luck and congrats.
